Renewables engineering specialist CES is part of the first cohort of firms to join a new initiative aiming to provide sustainability solutions for businesses across the county.
Shropshire Sustainability Solutions was launched to bring together trusted local specialists to help firms reduce their environmental impact and create social and commercial value.
The idea started as a conversation over a few drinks between a handful of business owners, before being developed into a collaborative network involving digital sustainability, IT recycling, environmental services, EV infrastructure, and energy.
CES was one of the firms joining forces with other businesses for the recent launch event which took place in Telford.
Managing director Joe Collison explained that being part of the group allows CES and other companies to make a difference across the region.
He said: “When we first heard about the idea, we were really keen to get involved in such a forward-thinking collaboration.
“As businesses, we all strive for success and a fundamental way to achieve that, across any sector, is to share best practice and learn from the best ideas of our peers.
“Shropshire Sustainability Solutions is handing businesses like ours the platform to do that – sharing our expertise and guidance in our specialist fields.
“We’re really pleased to be involved and can’t wait to see how it grows and shapes up in the future.”
